www.hungertv.com Olivia Williams has been Bruce Willis's wife in The Sixth Sense, the woman who stole Jason Schwartzman's schoolboy heart in Rushmore, and on the arm of Prime Minister Pierce Brosnan in Roman Polanski's The Ghost Writer, for which she received glowing reviews. Yet the Cambridge alumna and daughter of two barristers has always found it difficult to take the approbation that comes with such roles seriously. Growing up, Olivia demonstrated a passion and talent for acting, but was hindered by the very middle class affliction of believing that real jobs were conducted in an office. "I loved acting but always thought of it as a hobby," she says. Rejecting law school to study English Literature, it was only on leaving university that Olivia applied for drama school. She was accepted, but her reserve and uncertainty about her proficiency as an actress did not end there. Olivia divulges that she has made numerous mistakes during her career, such as refusing to even co! nsider a "rubbish" script -- The Matrix -- but she laughs off the experiences, making them not regrets, but lessons learned. Having starred in An Education, Sex & Drugs & Rock & Roll and The Ghost, Olivia is at the top of her game.
